There is another option available.  You can set an option in ChessBase to make this alternative option available. 

Click Menu File – Options – Misc – Rightclick Retracts.

First you must enable this feature in ChessBase. Normally in the standard settings it is not configured to operate this way.

This option is very helpful when you are entering the moves of a new game using the mouse to move the pieces.  If you make the wrong move, you can do a simply rightclick without moving the mouse pointer out of the board window.
